A detailed 3D recreation of the iconic Fender Telecaster with a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece. This project was a deep dive into realistic product visualization, focusing on the contrast between delicate colors and heavy, aged metal surfaces.
I paid special attention to the "Relic" look — adding subtle scratches, oxidation on the gold hardware, and surface wear to give the instrument a history and character.
Technical Highlights:
Modeling: High-poly hard-surface modeling in Blender, ensuring all curves and mechanical parts of the Bigsby bridge are mechanically accurate.
Texturing: Created multi-layered PBR materials in Substance 3D Painter. Used custom masks for the "aged gold" effect and subtle surface imperfections on the pickguard.
Lighting: A studio lighting setup designed to highlight the metallic sheen and the soft satin finish of the body. Used Gobo shadows to add a natural, "room-like" feel to the presentation.
Rendering: Cycles render with a focus on capturing realistic reflections and micro-details of the worn metal.
